Steampunk Europe by Chanimur Steampunk Europe by Chanimur
A steampunk Europe; no real background for it, but I may work something up for it someday - timeline, stories, who knows?

Poor Iberia gets no respect in AH. No respect, just like New Jerseians. Appreciate the Greater Bretony though for sure.

I must say, Great Brittany makes me laugh--and I'm sure d'Artagnan would be proud to live in an independent Gascony!

Great map :). Perhaps a little bit too much of Britain and not enough France, but anyway, it's a french opinion ^^

Hm... why the Moldova isn't in kingdom of Poland?
It is mor logical, because borders into Poland and Hungar are in Carpatia.

Except for "Grand Bretagne," I like this map very much. Great to see Hungary getting some power. Is there a war or any backstory? That's something I often do for people. And what are "Lands of the Black Lotus?"

Lands of the Black Lotus: Krazy Kultists using opium and pseudo-science to try and gain esp and other extrasensory powers. Lots of guns, lots of fanatical followers.

As well as expressing my admiration for a fine, clean map with some great colour schemes in play, I also feel a need to express curiosity: 'Empire of Grande Bretagne'? That curious name does beg for some backstory. :)

Well, no real background. But I had a vague thought that the POD was far back enough where the names Britain/Brittany came to be used almost interchangeably due to the two regions being dynastically linked or something. Maybe there were no Norman invasions and Britain stayed united under Wessex, eventually merging with Brittany. Then we could say that over time Brittany became the senior partner... Or something. :D

Timurids? Nice. Although now I'm wondering whether they'd be like Asiatic pistoleers on horseback or Green-Arrow-style exotic-ammo horse archers.

Also, steampunk Papal States are always fun... :D

I'm thinking the former.

Also, gear-and-steam Inquisitors. :)

I just like seeing his name on an empire :D

Hopefully one of his predecessors sends flaming camels at war elephants again :P

Steampunk without german Zeppelins won´t work^^

Well, I wanted to try something a bit different from 'normal' steampunk. Plus, there's still Brandenburg... :D

Did you produce the background and borders on your own, or did you use stock? Either way, it is very, very well done.

The parchment is from a piece of 'novelty paper' from Aaron Brothers that I scanned in; the borders are by me, although the gears are brushes.
